How do I break up with your boyfriend without hurting him too much?

My boyfriend loves me so much, but i just don't love him back,so ive decided to break up with him,and i don't want to hurt him too much, because he is still my friend, and i need to know how to let him down gently. Please give me some answers! How do I break up with your boyfriend without hurting him too much?
Well,if he is in love with you, there is no easy way to break it off and still spare his feelings. If you break it off,he will more than likely find it very difficult to be friends with you because,of course, another guy will eventually come along and that will probably hurt him watching you be with another guy.But you can't be in a relationship where there is not love coming from both people. The best thing I can tell you to do is tell him that the feelings that he has for you are just not the same feelings you have.He needs to understand that you deserve to be happy too and tell him that just being friends with with him will make you happy.Tell him that's it's not him (if it isn't) and that your feelings don't go any further than friendship.Good Luck. How do I break up with your boyfriend without hurting him too much?
just tell him you see him as a friend

he will prob get mad but he will get over it

hope i helpedd
He will be hurt no matter what. Just tell him it is over and do not ask to be friends. Leave him be and move on. Would you want to be friends with someone who just broke your heart? I don't think so.
say i need some space

or say my mom does not like you
I don't think there is a way to let him go without hurting him too much. But there is a way with being nice about it and mean about it. Tell him you need to talk to him, sit him down or I/M him, text which ever way your thinking. Tell him that what's on your mind isn't the way it was in the beginning. Tell him he's been a great boyfriend but you just can't see yourself with him anymore. Also don't say I hope we can be friends. Let him choose if he wants to be your friend or not.
I am in the same situation right now! I was planning for a quite while to breakup tomorrow... You see, i loved my boyfriend, and he loved me more than you can imagine back... It's just that later on i figured he wasn't the one for me... Hard to explain.

Anyway, why I even searched this question up was because I am having a hard time figuring out what to do.

This is what I came up with:

First of all, you should NEVER break up through AIM, text, phone, or any other messaging device! That is NOT how to end a relationship. Make a plan, tell him to come to school early tomorrow, meet near (where ever you want to go at school) and then say your line.

Secondly, I suggest you first grab his hand, look into his eyes, and say something like:

__________, (bf's name)

-sigh- You were the best boyfriend I had, and I enjoyed being with you. But I don't think we should stay in a relationship together. I am just not quite ready to do this yet. (JUST SAY IT EVEN IF YOU ARE READY, this is the best way to make sure that they're not too offended, so they won't take things too personally) We have many things to worry about; our family, friends, even school. Having another to worry about isn't comfortable for me. At least not yet. Please understand...';

HUG HIM... then say ';May I have a last goodbye kiss?'; in a friendly voice. Kiss him on the cheek or lips. (if you don't kiss, then have a last hug) Then leave. Go to your friends to make you forget about this breakup, etc. This is what I'm going to do tomorrow. It may sound cheesy but it really shouldn't be, depending on HOW you say it, with your tone, etc.

If you're one of those shy people with not a lot of confidence, try to not think at ALL and pretend youre talking a mirror, just practice talking at home in front of your reflection. Act like it's an actual person standing in front of you. DON'T try to make this awkward, it ruins EVERYTHING!

At last, try not to laugh while you're doing this.

Good luck. We're both on for this!
You cannot love the mosquito on your chin.
Of course breaking up will hurt him and you can't escape from that. But it's better than going on with a meaning less relationship. Find some time and talk to him. It should work. But I don't think there's any guaranty in you 2 continuing as friends.
Talk to him in a gently and say I know you love me a lot but I just don't love you like you love me. I enjoy your company and still want to remain really good friends.

For sure he will be crushed so give him time to cool off and become friends at his pace...He will probably want to so just let him take his time
